Sunday

Today was sort of a relaxed day. I finally got to workout in the wanna be fitness center! It was difficult with no weights, one elliptical not working and all the writing on the screens in German... Me and one of my closer friends on the trip also found a Starbucks which was much needed! At the train station there are places like Starbucks, Subway, Burger King, Gelato and a place similar to a drug store. It's huge and very pretty from the outside. We went to eat as a group and ended up splitting up. My group ate at a place that was sort of German/Turkish. Mine was ok...it was hard to get what I wanted because the guy didn't speak any English. But I did try some french fries! (or pommes frites) and the cajun on them tasted a little bit different than ours.
The other night at the formal dinner we had already paid for we got ice cream and it was awesome! I can't explain the difference, but it was good. And the steak they served was soo juicy and delicious. We have had a hard time eating classic German food because they have a lot of other types of food mixed in. Also it is hard to tell what you are ordering so we order what we can figure out and it usually ends up being something we've had before or American. A lot of places serve pizza though, but not pepperoni. They use salami instead. There was a tuna pizza at one place too, but I didn't try that one..
After dinner we went bowling and it was pretty fun. It was way nicer than our bowling alleys at home. It was very clean. It was at the top of a building so it had a pretty good view of the train station.
Tomorrow we have orientation for our classes and then a guided city tour which I am really looking forward to! Usually, though, we will have class from 9:45-12:45 lunch then class again from 1:30 to 4:45. It will be long, but we only have about 13 days of actual class so... haha.
I have taken so many pictures, but any that I've taken on my phone I can't upload yet because I don't have internet on my phone. I also forgot the computer cord, so those will be posted once I'm home. It's been very fun so far! I miss everyone at home sooo much though! I hope everyone is doing well!
